Out playing in the rain just like a child
I have seen enough of your images to place that Willow tree in my mind of where you were shooting from
#2 comes together nicely with the elements of the partial Willow tree and the two contrasting subjects, just makes for a good comp IMO
Gull in the rain, a touch of greenery adds to the cool tones of the rainy day. I'd say you made the most out of it this day Morris.

Thank you Karl,
I don't know if this will help your visualization, there are 3 Willow trees left at Oakland Lake. Two on the north side and one of the south and fallen over yet still alive. That's the one in these images taken from the east end. The second captured the the varying looks of the park and the mood of the day. I chose to leave the noise in that image as it added to the wet mood. In the last I sharpened and denoised the background to bring out the raindrops.

I really like the last gull shot. When I go out in the rain all I get is wet glasses.
Thank you Bob,
I think people forget that you can create nice images with common birds as the subject
