There is, but I don't think they use it for a nest (saw a squirrel peeking its head out this morning). I do think they use it as a waiting spot for their children when they are at an immature stage as I saw one deliver a rodent a few months ago. They seem to nest elsewhere in the creek valley and come thorough every three weeks for a few days, then move on.
