Thanks guys. I think I was a little more stressed than the coyote when I took these , I was kneeling on the trail and he walked towards me to the point where I had to get up and back away.
Gotta love that intense look, nice work! Yeah, I'd be the stressed one too in that situation. I wouldn't mess with some wild coyote even if it looked friendly... we have them showing up here now, and it is hard to believe but they somehow find refuge in the green spaces/wooded areas between the housing developments.
When I was very young, my pop got a Timberwolf-shepherd, as where we lived was semi rural and nobody complained... it could give you that cold dead eye stare, but it was the blood curdling growl that made kids pee themselves, heh. Super smart, very protective, friendly with family, but strangers beware, everyone was the enemy until one of us introduced you to Silver formally and let him sniff you.
