p.1 #1 · My take everywhere camera

For the past few months my take everywhere camera is my X-E5/ 23mm 2.8 pancake lens camera. It is giving me great photos and the package is so small and light it is a joy to have and use almost daily. Here are a few photos from yesterday out in the rain.

Nice. I particularly like the truck/shed shot, a nice implementation of aerial perspective.

I'm another member of the small camera club. In my case it's the X-T50 and Viltrox 25mm 1.7. Love that combo.

Sal, that is a great combo, I'm sure. Nothing like our Fuji cameras and the lens which fits our shooting style!

XE-5 must be the most popular camera in Fuji lineup. I agree, being ILC it is much more versatile than X100.

My daily go everywhere daily camera is either X100V or the slightly more hefty GFX100RF. Fixed lens cameras make life simple - no change of focal length. Using XE-5 I might be tempted to carry another lens or using a zoom. To me the simplicity is perhaps even more important than size.

I do not take so many pictures with the X100V anymore but it is easy to carry and discreet to use everywhere. Last week I took this picture on a walk after a seminar.

My “take everywhere” camera is hte XT5 with the 27mm f/2.8 pancake… but I can certainly see that a good case can be made for using the XE5 this way, too.

XE2 with 27mm/2.8, or the X100V.

I like those black & white shots! My take everywhere camera is the very ancient and diminutive X-a2 which I keep in my trunk at all times. Lately I've been pairing it with the Fuji 50mm f2 which has turned out to be a surprisingly satisfying combo.

Fuji rep was at Samy's in Pasadena today with the red carpet of demo models. What is so striking is just how small Fuji has managed to keep everything.

It was the size and weight of Fuji cameras which caused me to switch over from Nikon in 2017. I have never looked back.

WAIT A MINUTE. I scrolled those 2 pictures and thought one was mine. I literally just took a photo of that barn/building last Tuesday night haha. Do you live in town?

I can't post photos since I'm not a Buy/Sell member, but they're at this Threads link

Hey (potential) neighbor! Haha

I bought back into Fuji with the X-E5 after being away for a few years and primarily use the XF 23mm f/2.8 R WR on it but also take along the smallish XF 16-50mm f/2.8-4.8 R LM WR when the situation requires some more flexibility. Also now own the X-T5 and Fujicron f/2 XF R WR primes at 16mm, 23mm, 35mm, and 50mm and the 27mm f/2.8 R WR.

Hadn’t payed much attention to the X-T50 but looks like a great alternative to the X-E5 if your not into a range finder style and it even has the same battery and EVF resolution of the X-E5 so a good match.

Can you please share the film simulation you used on the two pictures shared or was it shot RAW and processed after.
Also, what application did you use.

My own EDC is my old Fujifilm X-Pro1 with a 23mm or 35mm f2 lens. In spite of much more sophisticated gear I own, the venerable old X-Pro1 is my absolute favourite camera of all time!
