Interesting info. The D5 still has super high ISO capability. It sounds like it’s on Artemis II since it’s already qualified for space flight. There must be different (lower) standards for ISS equipment.
It did note that Nikon/NASA are in the development/qualification process to take Z9s to the lunar surface when Artemis III launches on its mission. It mentioned some internal circuitry gets redesigned to harden it against the high radiation environment.

Yes, Nikon is perfect for working in zero gravity. A few extra pounds don't matter there, and the strap lugs aren't under any strain. On the other hand, the spacecraft still needs to be able to take off, of course. 😄
