Mine just arrived. Solid one this year. A branded, zipped packable travel pouch, a solid, mid-weight hoodie, and a small lens cloth. Who knows, I might even use this stuff.
Like I have been saying Nikon is cheaping out on everything!!...from products to so called NPS "Gifts" it's a JOKE!!!! And an insult actually! seeing more and more cheap products built in cheap factories! They are cutting ALL corners! using cheap plastics in lenses calling it weight saving!! HA! Yeah right! And then they're wanting us to pay 3500.00 dollars for something that probably cost them 300 bux to build after all these deep cuts! there playing us for fools!
Last year's rain jacket was awesome. Still use it regularly. Long sleeve hoodie this year not bad, but a bit of a downgrade. Don't know what the zippered bag thing is for!
I'm not sure anyone joins NPS for the "gift," I certainly don't. I join for the access to fast and discounted repairs. In years when I plan to buy something >2K, I join via Pro+, as the 10% discount offsets my purchase a bit... I certainly don't join for the "gift."
Last year the Pro+ account more than paid for itself with a 25% savings on an expensive repair to my Z9 and the purchase of another camera body. With the introduction of the very tempting 70-200 f2.8 vII, my Pro+ plan will definitely pay for itself.

Sounds like you should switch brands. I'm sure Sony or Canon aren't "cheaping out" on any of their products. They're all made of solid metal and weigh 10 kg each! If you actually think Nikon is making 10X profit on their lenses you should start your own lens company. You'd be rich!
