Hello. Getting back into film photography. I shot some Pan F about...oh... 40 something years ago and remember it looking quite nice and very much to my liking for fine grain and a lot of contrast.
I am wondering if anyone still shoots this film, what do you develop it in? Some examples would be most appreciated.
I have mostly developed it with Rodinal at 1:100 using the semi-stand approach (1 minute of gentle agitation to start, let it sit, three gentle agitations at the 30 minute mark, let it sit again and pour out the developer at 1 hour). I like how it looks; I've tried a couple of other developers as well and next time I'll try 510 Pyro. I've shot it in 35mm and 120.
Here are two examples developed in Rodinal, semi-stand:
Pan F+ is still my favorite b&w film, even though I don't shoot it as often as I used to. These are all 120 processed by my local lab, they told me they use D-76. I probably used a red filter on all of these except the bridge.
There are so many good black and white film stocks! I haven't shot Pan F in a few years, but I agree with what other have said...it works really well with Rodinal.
