Went down to Brazos Bend Texas State Park and the weather was great. About 76 or so degrees. After a mild winter down in Southeast Texas about 36 miles from Houston, the Alligators were out in numbers sunning to get their temperature up so they could feed in the cool water of the lakes at the park. The birds had not returned from the south of Texas or where ever they go when it gets freezing. I walked about 3 miles with the Nikon D500 with grip and the old trusty Nikon AF 200-500mm f5.6 lens. I think I will need to go with a lighter setup because man, it sure gets heavy for an 80 year old. Here are a few of the pics I took.
