I like to have a minimum of three batteries per camera to be ready when shooting and maybe not able to charge while on the go.
I’m using the Nikon battery grips on my Z6III/Z8 where the two batteries are in the grip. I have started charging the batteries in grip with the USB C plug on the grip. I did not like charging in camera directly so I was using the MH-25 prior to going gripped.

How do you deal with charging your camera battery? Do you charge the battery while it is in the camera or take it out and use a separate charger?
I've always been a multi-battery, separate charger sort of person, but am considering sticking with just one battery and charging it in-place.
Day to day, I often just charge in camera - I'll notice that it's low, and I have a USB-C charger cable handy at my desk both at home and at work, so if I see that, I'll just charge it in camera. If I'm going out for a specific shoot, or for any extended time (or travel), I will usually charge one battery in camera and another (or two depending on the length of time shooting) in a charger, so I'm fully topped up for the shoot.
Same here, I only use an external charger.
My Z6, and also my Z8, came with a Nikon MH-25a charger.
Three Nikon EN-EL 15c batteries and one Nikon EN-EL 15b for the Z6 are perfectly sufficient for everything I do.
I rarely need more than two, and re-charging them in the charger is part of my post-work routine, just like a quick cleaning of the equipment.

Hmmmm.
Charging in camera is only what I would do in an emergency. In camera charging is generally slower and there a risk of the cord being yanked and the camera or port being damaged. I have a bunch of USB-C PD chargers and plug-in chargers. Sometimes I capture over 15K per day and limited time at lodgings, so I need to charge many batteries at one time, sometimes 2-3 types.
I would not charge a third party battery in camera. Some years ago I had a third party battery for fuji bulb in its external charger. I did not even fit in the camera.
When it bulbs within the camera body while charging, you can only sent the camera in for repair. Certainly no warranty with a third party battery.
Some third party batteries do have an usb connector for charging. No charger needed. Comes handy for charging in the field with a power bank.
Depends on the camera...Zf always charges via USB-C (and often from a battery bank while out and about) and the Z9 always charges with its wall charger at home. I don't own a separate battery for either of them, thanks to USB-C charging being so easy and fast in the field.
I use the included MH-25a wall charger. Between three batteries for my Z8 I don't remember a time I've ever depleted two in one day. Did the same for previous DSLR cameras too. Just an old habit at this point.
