Yesterday morning there was a huge shopping rush at my back yard bird feeders. This included a pair of very pretty Quaker Parrots, who were kind enough to stick around while I went and grabbed my camera.

Nice images Greg. We have a few colonies of them around here including two near my home. They are also called Monk Parakeets and can make quite a racket. They look great with fall colors as a background.

They are very pretty birds. All parrots make quite a racket.
When I was a kid, one of my aunts had a Green Mexican Parrot named 'Fibber' -- man he was loud! He was also quite full of himself and could bite the livin' fool out of you.
