p.1 #1 · Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but.....

Was out walking one wet early morning and came across a railway line so tried to capture it. It was quite dark and raining I liked the single light shining away lighting up the track a little. I may have lightened it too much as its lost a lot of its moodiness

Any advice welcome

You could probably get a better response on "Post Processing........" but I will give you a thought....What does the original look like?....was it a raw file? This image is very moody....but is that a train coming towards us? Front headlamp on it? ...I believe that a bit less "highlight" would bring up that focused light exposure wise..narrow the "beam of white light" to the eye and frame...more dark can mean more emotion....again taht is IF it is a headlamp/train and not the actual place where the daylight is getting brighter...I could go on but this is the "jist"...Just my $.02!

Not saying anything is "wrong" with your image post edit...

The light you can see is just a conducting light for train drivers on the line. No idea what it changes to but I expect green for go and red for busy. It might have been better to get in front of the light instead of to the side but I liked the effect in the rain from an angle.

The image looks noisy but its just the misty type of rain

I did try several crops removing the foliage on the righthand side of the image which worked in one way but looked a little artificial in another so left it as as this one.

I was also wondering if there was a way to get down to the rail line itself by the side of it might have produced some nice pictures but couldn't see a safe way of doing that.

Sorry, I was referring to the background top "white-ish" light..like a train coming round the bend.
The noise accents the image.
Thanks!
