Frederick, MD. did NOT abide by the Prohibition Act and made its highly sought after whiskey and then beer during this period.
The whiskey was made in a nearby building then moved here.

Home?...Sadly YES...Hard liquor and I have never "gottin' along" brother! Same with tobacco....
My little town near me continues to amaze me with its hidden treasures!
Thanks brother!

Thanks Bruce!
The town near me has a creek that runs directly through the downtown, Carroll Creek.
Each Winter from about Thanksgiving until February there is a boat display on that creek.
Great photo op.
Thanks!

I've always been jealous of towns with a creek running through the cities like that. They look so cool and I enjoy thinking of how it'd be cool to kayak around downtown, hop out for a beer someone, kayak back home
But are they both still in operation? We have our own, "Town Creek" but there is basically no access due to all the concrete walls directing it through town and part of it is underground.

Well the creek is very nice but no sailing craft of any kind allowed on the creek. Except for the Winter "Sail" event.

Yes they are Douglas. The rye whiskey that McClintock distills is a prize winner.
Thanks!
