p.1 #1 · RIP Peter Read Miller: One of the Great Ones.
We lost a sports photography master this week.
Canon announced that the great Peter Read Miller has passed away.
If anyone here is not familair with his work take a moment to look it up. He was one of the key staff members at Sports Illusrtated when that magazine set the standard for sports photography.
He also has a great YouTube channel with plenty of excxeptional lessons. He was gracious with his time and expertise.

He was nice enough to allow me to mount my Canon film camera on his EF 1200mm F/5.6L for a few minutes before the start of a Raider game at the LA Coliseum back in the 90's. RIP Peter

Just saw this Peter was a great guy who I shot with many times. A total old school gentleman. One time I was shooting the first time Tim Tebow scored his first td. I was perfectly placed to get him, Peter was not, he came up mad as hell at himself. I said to myself I out shot Peter over and over. I told him a few years later he smiled and totally got it. He knew how great he was and was happy for me to have that moment. He was always generous with his knowledge.
