Really enjoy the 21mm focal length and the size of this thing- It’s a keeper.
A few from Kentucky-
These are great samples. The 21 SEM is great, but I really want a small wide angle. I have had the Voigt twice, but never really enjoyed using it. My opinion it didn’t have much character, the Thypoch seems to have some imperfections that add to the drawing

Thanks-
I think this lens would give you what you are after- The size is perfect- The sun stars are really fun and easy, has the right amount of vignetting for me and the price point is great. Pixel peepping the images- I am more than happy with how the lens performs.
I love the SEM but its just a bit to bulky as a throw in lens which this one is more often than not- Pick it up! Its a fun little piece of glass to run around with.

I agree. Simply changing the mount to save on production makes financial sense, but I prefer Cosina's approach of adjusting the optical design based on sensor stack thickness. For Thypoch, mirrorless shooters likely will not mind, but using ultra wides on M cameras will come with trade offs, especially field curvature and astigmatism.
Mental note to self: Thypoch wides on M ... just say "No". Stick with glass designed for the M mount.
Still trying to get a feel for this lens. Really enjoying it!
Your images with it are fabulous! You have nudged me into getting one and just placed my order for at B&H. Should be here next week and I am really looking forward to working with it.

I was not aware of a Ksana 35mm F2, looks damn interesting to me.
I find the concept of that line to my taste, what I wished the Eureka would have been, just the 21mm focal length is really not my thing.
I'd be really surprised if they don't also release at least a 50 to complement the 21 & 35.

A 50mm can be left for later. Now a 28mm, that's a different matter. Don't encourage them too much, we want to see a 100mm Simera at some stage. And they have a line of filters just out, I'll give one a try next trip. They come in: 39/49/52/58/62/67/72/77mm.

Great samples! I may get one for review and compare it to the CV 21/3.5 Color-Skopar.
Hey Fred, have you managed to get that Ksana lens, in the end?
Really interested on an informal comparison, since I decided to add a 21mm lens to my small lenses arsenal (35mm being currently the widest I have). And these two lenses are the main suspects. And given @RustyRus great pictures, the Ksana is the main favourite so far - I think I dont want a "perfect" lens.

Yes, I should get the Ksana 21/3.5 and 35/2 for review very soon.

Curious to see how it shoots—I never warmed to the CV 21/3.5 and never wanted to stretch my budget to a Leica 21/3.4.
Still mostly shooting a Contax G 21/2.8 consistency.
Pretty looking lens and the ergo appear solid. I guess the hood coast extra which is dumb IMO.
I also have a 21 G convert as well as the CV 21/3.5 and 1.4/21 Nokton- The 21/3.5 is a good lens very tiny, a bit too much fall off at 3.5 however if I am not sure I will use a 21 that day it is tiny to carry as an in case and I like that it is E39 meaning ND and CP match my summicron 50, the 21 G is not much heavier is a great zeiss lens, not that keen on it at 2.8 but up it to 5.6 or even 4 I like it. The 21 1.4 is another thing, kind like comparing a 50 summicron to a 0.95, the 1.4 is huge and heavy and it is wonderful but I only take it if I am sure I am doing quite a bit of 21 mm otherwise it is a boat anchor. So the 21 G is my all rounder good on film and on dig, the 3.5 the in case lens, the 21 1.4 is for an intended 21 shooting day or night.

Was this a question? If yes, then check post #19 by Juha.
I mean it’s already not a prototype, Thypoch did not advertise one bit that version so I thought the copy shown in the CP+ exhibition was just something for the future. But Fred is almost already holding it in its hands for testing, it’s more real than I was expecting it to be for now.
Not offering 43mm or 46mm filters is certainly a choice...
