It was warm here in NYC at about 50f yet it was windy and super windy at the beach. I had my tripod blown over once even after driving it into the ground. My camera was in my hands so no harm done yet an indication of what the wind was like. One of the dunlin I was photographing took off and went from zero to sixty in an instant. Others were fighting to stay in place and even down on the sand my camera was being moved by the wind. When I reached the jetty, I used it to block the wind and it was fun to stand behind my tripod and photographed the Dunlin sandpipers on the rocks as they ate.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris
