Where are the best stores right now to buy 35mm film?

It would be great to hear where everyone is finding the best prices across different brands and film types, including color, black and white, and slide film.

Freestyle Photo if you're in LA and don't have to pay for shipping

Midwest Photo Exchange if you buy enough to get free shipping

Cheaper Than Dirt but it depends on what's in stock

Occasionally B&H but only if they're having a sale

Finally, I still buy from the local shops. It may not be a lot but it helps

Also, I have the advantage of living in a state that doesn't have a sales tax, so I'm already saving 9%

Two main sources in Honolulu. Treehouse Hawaii has best prices that seem the same as buying online. No reason not to buy local with a good selection available.

Majority in person at my local lab, but best prices seem to be MPEX.

If you're looking for color reversal film, frickin' nowhere lately. It's such a shame.

I should see if I can buy it locally anymore. Used to get 4x24 fujicolor at drug or grocery store for ~$6, b&h or adorama imported 36 exposure (Korean on the box, it looked like) ~$1.79.

But I guess them's was the good ol days.....

Does anyone think some stores are better than others for storing film refrigerated?

I shot amateur films, didn't need the color matching, and didn't really worry about it too much.

Other than if the imported stuff got exposed to too much heat in a shipping container or something

You can use Payboo cc for tax free at B&H. Plus you buy enough you get free shipping so with all that could be cheaper than buying from other shops.

Even with free shipping, film from B&H is still generally more expensive than MPX.

Four stores with links below:
Picturehouse $5 shipping regardless of quantity. Good prices.
Dirt Cheap Film Low cost shipping usually under $10. Good prices especially when they sell slightly expired Vision3 stocks. Email directly for private sale prices on large quantities.
FPP Cheap shipping around $5 or so if memory serves. Prices are usually very competitive or just plain lower than others.
Midwest Higher shipping but free if you spend a lot.

20 rolls here: https://www.dirtcheapfilm.com/shoppingcart/p/flic-film-chrome-100-36exp-35mm

You can get Velvia 50 from Japan on Amazon, $61/roll. It was only $30/roll before the tariffs.

I've found it just depends on what film you want. No store consistently has all the films I want at the lowest prices. I also don't mind paying a little more to support local shops if they have what I want.

I either buy from Freestyle Photo whenever they run deals or my local lab. CVS too, when needed in a pinch.

Dang, just looking at prices at Photo Warehouse and wishing I'd stocked up on more film the last time I bought.

I usually buy bulk black and white from them (thankfully the Arista EDU films are still quite reasonable) and then odds n ends from local stores (color rolls, weird black and white needs, etc).
