p.1 #1 · Red-winged Blackbirds

I was surprised to find these Red-winged Blackbirds at Oakland Lake when I visited last week. They are the first of our summer birds to arrive and the last to depart yet we have had a number of deep freezes and it defiantly feels like winter. The photos were taken at the end of the day with very little light.
