This morning I took the hot shoe cover off of my X-E5. The cover was very tight in the hot shoe. When I went to put if back, I found it would not slip fully into the hot shoe and I did not want to force it. I tried the hot shoe covers from my other Fuji cameras and none of them would fit fully in the hot shoe. I have never experienced this situation with any camera I have ever owned and it is certainly not typical for my other Fuji cameras. Have any other X-E5 owners experience this? TIA

Are you sure that the cover in the image is the right cover for the X-E5? The hot shoe cover on my X-E5 is smooth on top and easily slides in and out.
Yes, it is the cover that came on the camera. It was hard to get out of the hot shoe which is unlike any Fuji camera I have owned over the past 8 years. I am afraid to force it all the way into the slot.

Maybe a slight downward pressure to get it to slide under the slots?

Thanks, I will give it a try, but now getting ready to watch our GA Bulldogs play in the Sugar Bowl. GO DAWGS!
The OEM hot shoe cover for my X-E5 came from Fuji today. It is just slightly difference from other X series cameras, but enough different to make it fit the hot shoe perfectly!
