I’m currently shooting with a Z8 and have been using SanDisk cards for years. I have a 128GB CFexpress card, and on my last shoot I noticed one image where half the frame was corrupted and looked like static. I’ve also noticed how hot these cards get during use. I always assumed that was normal, but after reading more, it sounds like not all CFexpress cards run that hot.
Because of that, I’m looking to switch memory cards. I don’t shoot much video, so 128GB is the sweet spot for me—anything larger is just a bonus. Ideally I’d like to keep it under $200.
Been using a Lexar Gold 1TB for going on 2 years, never had an issue. Angelbird seem like they're a bargain but the reviews show people have had failures quite often, so I stayed away. You used to be able to buy 1TB from them for like $189, but not worth the risk. Other good brand is Delkin. PetaPixel recommends OWC
ProGrade (Cobalt which looks like it's been discontinued or Iridium) and Delkin (Power or Black series) tend to be recommended here as the coolest-running cards. I would recommend at least a CFExpress PCIe 3.0 card, but you could consider getting a PCIe 4.0 card to give better speed/compatibility with future cameras. Another thing to consider is that larger cards tend to have higher sustained write speeds. Sustained write speed is generally more important than max write speed when it comes to continuous shooting (and video).

I use Delkin Black and ProGrade Cobalt. Both are proven performers! Unfortunately, it looks like ProGrade only produces the Cobalt versions in larger memory sizes now.
