Yes, another Chinese lens maker. I was not paying too much attention till I saw 35mm lens, so I checked their website. They have a similar 25mm f/1.7 apsc lens already, not the sharpest, and decent af based on a few reviews.. Lens hood is selling separately for 25mm.

Ok instant buy with that hood for my ZF.
Small, cute, AF, faster than 2.8, will be a great walk-around lens with a little bit of character vs my sterile but great 28SE, which is small but kinda boring.
- Metal square lens hood included
- For E/Z/L mount
- The Sony E & Nikon Z versions will be released in late January, and the L-mount will probably come in February/March
- The visual design of the final version may change (the lens top displayed should only show “xxmm Fx.x”)
- Available in both silver and black
- A Nikon SE design version will be released later

There's been a bunch more leaked images of it, but I haven't seen any other sample photos from it.
Asobinet (Japanese site) has images of the Nikon SE version. Not sure I care to wait for it, even though in theory it matches my ZF more.
As soon as I can order one, I will. Prob going to order the SG 25/1.8 for my son's Z30 while I'm at it.

It's an ugly little lens with no aperture ring...personally, I don't see the appeal as a Nikon guy with two decent AF 40/2 lenses and an exceptional MF 40/2.
The SE version is much more visually appealing at least:
Meanwhile 7 Artisans has a 40/2.5 with aperture ring and MF/AF switch coming in at 90g.

The samples are just crap. I don't think it will be optically "normal. The TTartisan 40/2 also sucks compared to the Sigma 45.
I agree there are not many samples available yet, but what you don't think is optically "normal" might be exactly what someone else is looking for. There's a lot of subjectivity in choosing a lens. For example, you like the Sigma 45, but I'm sure plenty of people don't, for the same reasons you do, like the smooth rendering and a bit of spherical aberration.
It's also still too early to know how this 35mm f/2.2 will really perform and render. I think we need more images before we can judge it properly.
