FWIW, I just got an email listing quite a few Fujifilm products (cameras, lenses, etc.) on sale at B&H:
Go to this page, scroll down a bit, and then enter "Fujifilm" in the "search within Ressults" box. You'll get a lot of stuff you probably aren't interested in, but there are some really interesting deals if you look through it.
Wow, that a pretty big one. The XF 500 is $750 off! Most GF lenses are $500 off but already knew about that one. And grabbed the 45-100 I had been waiting on.

Not so much the 500mm but I think the 3rd party lenses are putting some pricing pressure on Fujifilm. Super wides are a niche thing and $950 for a 3.5 8mm vs $199 for a Viltrox 9mm 2.8 is a no brainier for me.

Off topic a bit, but I think that the cheap Chinese lenses are going to become a big challenge for all of the camera manufacturers soon. From what I hear, the quality is improving rapidly at the high end, and the prices are quite low.
It would not surprise me to see a mainline manufacturer of camera gear from Chine compete successfully with Sony, Canon, Nikon… and Fujifilm before long.

But, back on track…
I was surprised at some of the gear that is included in the B&H sale, including a bunch of bodies (such as the XT5) and lenses that were not on the other recent sales.

The X-T5 sale price is $300 more than I paid for my brand new silver X-T5 at $1,599 in July (pre tariff)...But deals are still out there, just received last week a brand new Fujifilm XF 90mm f2 WR for $829 thru GT.

Aside from lamenting the effects of the import taxes (aka “tariffs”) on Americans who purchase any imported products, it doesn’t do us a lot of good to compare to the pre-import-tax prices. The reality is that we’re now in a time of increased costs, so we have to look at deals in light of current pricing.
(When the XE2 first came out, I pointed out to people that its high price was equal to that of the XT5 at the time. Fujifilm “fixed” that problem pretty quickly. ;-) )
The 90mm f/2 is on the sale list that I linked to. It is a great lens for folks who need such a thing. (I have one.)

I was going to say, the sale price on the 500mm lens is only a hundred bucks less than I bought it for last spring, pre-tariffs.

The camera sold pretty much everywhere for $1699 back in July, so if you got it for $1599 then you lucked out
