Those look great Morris, I think I like the ones captured later in the day with the warmer light. Love the compression from using a longer lens. Maybe what's missing are some wider angle shots, with dune patterns in the foreground leading off into the distance. Looks like a great trip you had!
Morris, looks like an amazing location. I am no pro but here are my $.002. Personally I find photographing dunes is quite difficult but you did a good job. The last image is very nice and like the patterns you have captured. I feel that focusing on capturing patterns and lines is the key. I have reviewed Gregg's images several times but have yet to come up with something worthy of posting here. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Scott. I included one done at 24mm in my first post. I found wide angle views filled the frame with the wall of the dune in many cases and left the background tiny. This is why I chose to use the longer lens to isolate the interesting parts. This place fits the song, the bare went over the mountain. The sand is incredibly white here and while warm light is a classic for landscape photography, a bit of the charm was removed by the warm light in many cases. It did work as the light got very warm and my next post will share some images in very warm light.

Thank you,
Greg who? I agree this place is all about curves, lines and patterns. If you saw my previous post, you got to see an abstract using the lines.

Not many mountains at a distance in the northeast
Thank you,
There was a decent amount of haze when I took the first photo. While the mountain is not that far, we rarly get this look in the NE. You need to head a bit south to the Blue Ridge Mountains and then it can look the same.
