Hey film folks!
The annual Top 5 Images of the Year thread has been started a couple of days ago. If you haven't done so yet, please post your five favorite photos (film or digital) of the year in his thread: https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1926727/?b=2
Feel free to cross-post the same 5 pics here and over there OR use this opportunity as a sneaky way to post a different set of images over here. Film shooters have it hard enough, I think we deserve to cheat a little
So, here are my top 5 *film* images from this year:
p.1 #7 · Post your 5 favorite *FILM* images from 2025
Cool to see the variety of camera types, film types and formats in this thread! We're already covering everything from pinholes, Holgas, SLRs, folders, half-frame to medium format. Just waiting for the first 110 and 8x10 pics

I have a bunch of 110 pics I liked but alas the thread rule is to only post five of your favourites!

Sweet! What is going on in the second pic?
This is Rodeo Beach in Sausalito. The flow of the river out to sea was concentrated in one narrow area that eroded the beach, making a deeper, faster channel. It was on E100, but there was too much dynamic range, and also some issues with the chemistry, so B+W seemed to make the best of the situation.
Here's a shot where I didn't drag the shutter enough, but it shows the grease like smudges on the negative.

Wow! For a second I thought it was a composite photo!

We didn't really go anywhere special this year that was inspiring to me so I didn't shoot nearly enough rolls this year. Here are a few that rose to the top of a very shallow pool of photos. Five different films with two different film cameras.

Excellent! Pic #2 looks like a still from a Wes Anderson movie!
Thank you, I'll take that as a compliment! 🙂
I saw that car already two dozen times but never had a chance to properly photograph it.
Then I see it parked there, with no other cars next to it, in nice light - and the owner just ran out of the supermarket (to the right) -
he was the nicest guy really, super friendly, and he was proud that I took interest in his old car (a Citroen, I forgot the model), and that I wanted to take a picture of it.

Well I started shooting medium format last fall and by this summer I decided to sell it all. Who knows, I may pick it up again in the future. But here are my top 5 from this year.
