I took a little detour on our way from Phoenix to Santa Fe. I only had time for one sunrise but I haven't been here in 13 years so I had to make the stop. Thanks for taking a look !

Many spend days to capture what you did in a couple of hours !!! I love seeing the different backgrounds and shades of light. Beautiful work Gary . You make me miss Bosque even more.

Thanks very much Birdie. Wish I could have squeezed in a sunset

3 and the geese breaking through the ice are my picks Gary. Great set overall.
I don't think this was one of the mornings I was at the crane pool yet it might have been one where Louie and Morrie were there.
Morris
Thanks Morris
I was there Dec 4th which would have been last Thursday. These were from the roost pond a few miles before the entrance. I'll be very disappointed if I find out either you or Louie were there that morning. I would have loved to have met either one of you.

Gary, It is amazing what you can get in just a few hours there, Well done. Bruce
It's such a great spot. Honestly this was maybe only an hour of actually shooting. Once the sun comes up they all take off for the fields.
Appreciate the comment Bruce

That's like dropping into a Basilica and offering only one "Hail Mary", Gary!
Great captures.

You got that right Douglas It's a little tough with a sleeping wife in the car. She doesn't share my fascination with all things winged But I give her a lot of credit for getting up with me before sunrise.

I'm sorry we missed each other. I was shooting a bit to the left of the flight deck that morning and I think Louie and Morrie were at the Crain pond at the same time as you were. Like two ships passing in the night, it will have to be another time.

Aw man, sorry to hear that. I was going to ask around because I thought one of you might be there but I hate bothering people while they're shooting.
