Regarding image 3, a technical note. Close inspection shows colour banding in the glow around the moon when viewed in Safari or Firefox. The banding is almost entirely absent in Chrome or Brave, and of course does not appear in Photoshop. Safari and Firefox run the JPEG through additional colour-management transforms and compositing steps, which can exaggerate banding in very smooth gradients. Apple really needs to up its game in colour management.
