Tested the lens at my shoot today and I was quite impressed. So far, I like the color rendition of the zoom better than my 85 (which I consider pretty fantastic).
It also seems sharper wide open.
Absolute bargain at $818, no tax and free shipping from Rokinon (not sure how long the sale is going on). Compared to just under $2k for the Tamron version. They test *quite* similar from what I have researched.

Yes, guess I should feel fortunate. But haven't read anything online to suggest the QC is poor. Most rave about the lens (except about the lens creep ~ which is easily rectified with a o-ring around the barrel)
Highly recommend after 4 months of steady use in my (mostly outdoors) wedding photography business. The only caveat on the Rokinon vs much more expensive Tamron version is lens creep, but can easily be remedied with a cheap gasket around where the zoom ring meets the barrel:
