Fine capture, Morris. The last two times we've been to BdA Bernardo was more productive in number of birds. Your posts from BdA are encouraging; perhaps they've planted more corn this year.

That is a whole lot of energy! I see one intruder, dead center slightly right and slightly lower .... ID please
Fun and full of impact

Thank you Karl,
I think you are seeing a juvenile as they are darker. There is another on the right side of the screen. There are probably some Ross's geese mixed in and both species have blue morphs. https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Snow_Goose/id

Thank you Vic,
The Cranes and snow geese seem to spend the day at Bernardo and the night at Bosque. Very different experience at each.
Excellent capture, Morris.
The only thing I can think of that would have added interest to this image is if there had been one goose at the very top flying the opposite direction.

Thank you Greg,
It's amazing that things like that happen. I have photos of two huge flocks of snow geese going in oppilate directions and avoiding each other. That post will come.

Thank you John,
Yes this trip has been a fabulous experience and I've taken some of my best photos ever. I've got plenty more to share and this will include images of White Sands over on the Landscape Forum. I've only posted one of them so far as I want to do them on my better monitor.
