p.1 #1 · Shoulder bag for FujiGFX100ii + 3 lenses?
At the moment I use a Billingham Hadley Pro for my GFX100II , the GF20-35 and the GF110. Fits perfectly.
Last week, I bought the GF55 f1.7, so obviously all this gear doesn’t fit into the Hadley Pro anymore.
I like to work with 2 different bags, which were that Billingham and a small Think Tank backpack. For that backpack I already bought a new Peak Design Everyday backpack 20L (a little tight, but camera + my 3 lenses fit). Both backpack and shoulder bag should fit my camera and all 3 lenses. I do not carry much more (no laptop, notebook,iPad, etc.).
Now I’m looking for a new shoulder bag. Preferably Billingham, because of my very good experiences.
Problem: seems impossible to find larger than Hadley Pro Billingham camera bags in stores. So difficult to compare in real life.
Does anyone here have any experience and/or recommendation?
Thank you!

I have an earlier version of this bag and it is both quite large and comfortable to carry. I think it would be large enough but you should check that out before you buy as it is not an inexpensive bag. I don't have exactly your combination of lenses so I can't check for you.

Thank you Steve. Looks like a fine bag. Billingham isn't cheap either.
I 'll read about that ONA and especially how it compares to a Billingham Bag (maybe the 335 / 307 or Hadley Pro Large). User experiences also ofcourse. What about sturdiness/weather resistance/etc. ?

I find the ONA bags to be very study and weather resistant. I like the waxed canvas as relatively weather resistant and sturdy but lighter than leather. I really couldn't be much happier with my ONA bags.

Thank you, Steve and genjy! To my surprise I was able to see and try both a Billingham Hadley One and a Billingham 225 this afternoon. Unfortunately no ONA bags in store.
To my even greater surprise, all my gear fitted inside the Billingham One (!). Despite AI which tried to convince me, that this would not be possible…surely no competition for real world trying 😉.
Combined with the very positive expriences I’ve had with Billingham in the last 8 years I ordered a new Billingham Hadley One right away (different colour from that in store).
This all went faster than I thought.
Thank you for your advice!

€ 440,- for the bag + € 105,- for the full insert (which is "needed" for extra protection when there's only camera and lenses in that main compartment), + € 60,- for the shoulder pad (SP50).
So, a total € 605,- where I live.
Indeed a lot of money.
But my experiences with Billingham are so good, that I'm happy to pay this
And then also, I've spend way more on the gear that goes inside this bag and that has to be protected.

I get it, the pain of payment fades, but you have the bag for a long time. Please post some pics of how it all fits when you get it. I need a similar size and types for Gfx and lenses.

I will, as soon as I have the bag and when I find out how to post images here

@Jonathan. Pricey indeed, but maybe too much fashion over “function”? I never saw that bag in real life but it looks nice on images. But what about protection and ruggedness in general? It looks more like a fashion item than a rugged photo bag. You know, because you’ve owned one. Did you like it? Use it in bad weather?
I could be very wrong ofcourse.
Edit: you said it already…”amazing quality”. My fault, for asking. Sorry!

@thrice and @Picture this!
Thank you for your advice! Those bags also look nice and solid. I never used one of those bags, so no experiences there. I do have experiences with Billingham bags and I like them very much. Main reason to look at Billingham in the first place.
As I said before, I already ordered the Billingham One + full insert and shoulder pad.
The bag and insert are already in camera store (reserved for me). Waiting for the shoulder pad and as soon as that arrives, I'll pick it up.

I use a domke F802 with the shoulder pad and a Tenba padded insert for my GFX100S and 3 lenses. Very comfy.
I decided to try a F802 after checking it out as the bags I'm using are a bit bulky. Ending up fitting GF 20-35, 45-100, 100S, XF 70-300 and my 100mm filter kit + filters very nicely. With all accessories/batteries I normally bring and even has room for one of my X bodies(XT5 or XE5) in the other front pocket with spare room for a small prime or too. And it's not that bulky either it packs em tight and slim. Thank it may quickly become a favorite of mine as well if it's not already

I expect there are different preferences, habits, and needs. For example, most of my shooting happens on hikes, some long hikes; therefore, the convenience of carrying a camera system (recently, the GFX100S II & GF20-35mm F4 is my most used one) and the convenience of fast retrieval of the system are my main concerns. What has worked well for me is carrying the primary camera system in a Manfrotto holster, while the secondary camera is in my backpack that has other things one may need while hiking (e.g. water). In some cases, when both cameras are in action, one is in my hands, and the other I can retrieve from the holster when needed while placing the former back in the holster.
My concern about larger bags, and about carrying too much weight in a shoulder bag is that wouldn't be ideal while hiking on a rugged terrain or paths. Thus, for my use, the light Manfrotto holster has proved to be ideal. And, I cannot hike without a light backpack; thus, I find that carrying all extras in the backpack works best for me.

Which Manfrotto holster fits that combo? Do you think it would accept the 45-100 or 55/1.7? I typically carry mine on a cross body strap without a case then have a Thinktank Emergency cover (and other lenses) in my pack in case of rain.
