p.1 #1 · PayPal G&S - Am I supposed to receive money? Send an invoice? Confused...

Posted two lenses for sale.

First one had quick response by someone who asked if I would do PayPal Goods and Services. I said that was fine. He sent me the money to my PayPal email and I shipped the lens via UPS today.

Other lens received a PM but this one the buyer wants me to send an invoice to an email address and has not given an address.

I last sold here a few years ago so I'm not sure if both methods are okay but the invoice one is confusing me...

PayPal has the option to request payment via an invoice to an email address. Once it�s paid you�ll get shipping info. Just log in to your PP account and I�m sure you�ll find the invoice option.

Why would it be a scam? Invoices are a common practice. I think some people like to have the extra paperwork.

No issue with invoices but when I asked in PM about sending money via G&S the buyer informed me the address would not be correct.

Then when I was instructed to do an invoice based on email but without entering any shipping address, I started to wonder.

There wasn't much to find online about the 'push' vs 'pull' of Goods and Services and the FM info on Buy and Sell was sparse on it.

Also note PayPal charges 3.49% + 49� for invoices versus 2.99% + 49� for direct payments.
