I visited the East Pond of Jamaica Bay National Wildlife Refuge here in New York City the day before Thanksgiving. It was an unusually warm 60f with light fog creating soft light that was great for photography and it seemed to keep people away as I did not see another person during my 3 hour shoot. True solitude in the Big Apple! All of these photos are from the East Pond Blind.
