p.1 #1 · Anyone used the Sigma 20-200 E-mount on their Nikon Z via adapter?
I have a Z5 II and a couple native Z-mount primes. The Sigma 20-200 looks like a really great lens, all things considered, and I think it'd be a great travel and general purpose zoom. Anyone used this lens on a Z-mount Nikon camera? Wondering if there's a preferred adapter for this combination.

I'm very curious about this lens as well. I have a feeling that the inevitable distortions in such a lens will make it less-that-ideal when adapted, but I'd still love to see how it works.

I mostly (almost always, really) shoot RAW and have for years, so JPEG's being off isn't a major issue to me. My biggest concerns at this point is general function; AF, aperture control, etc.
Processing workflow is a separate issue but applying manually shouldn't be an issue as I can just do that with the keepers.

I got my Z6III on Black Friday and immediately gotten the Viltrox E to Z adapter which was on sale for $79. Once I updated the adapter to latest version 4.4, I was surprised as to how great it was working with my E mount lenses. I did try my Sigma 20-200 lens on Z6III with that adapter and it worked great, seemingly just as good as on my Sony A1, but I did not do any extensive testing. I am more interested to see how my Sony 200-600 would do with BIF over this $79 adapter, but that's going to have to wait for me to get out there. The only lens that I tried that was not focusing well was Sirui 85 1.4 in FE mount. It was very slow and sometimes not wanting to go to F1.4, it seemed to like F2 and slower.
I then decided to stack adapters and placed Canon 85LII EF lens on MC11 adapter and placed MC11 adapter over Vlitrox E to Z adapter. That combo worked surprisingly well with Manual Focus but AF was not good. I know there is a Fringer Direct adapter for EF lenses, but I only have one EF lens (85L) and I am not spending $300 to adapt it on Nikon. I am happy with my $79 though ----

That's really good information. Maybe that Viltrox will come in handy at some point.
I've been watching some comparisons between the Tamron 25-200 G2 and the Sigma 20-200 and I am starting to think that the Tamron 25-200 might be better for me, with better image quality overall. Not sure if this lens is going to come to Z-mount natively or not... thankfully I don't really need this lens right away.
