The Marine Nature Study Area was flooded by a combination of astronomical high tide and a storm off shore when I took these photos about a month ago. I worked my way out on the flooded trails stepping on the high spots to avoid flooding my shoes. It was great having most of the park to myself and the birds.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris

There you go, ending on the winner!! Love that last shot, perfect capture
You have mastered the whites Morris, really fine showing of exposure and details, these are excellent buddy. I really like #4 too, nice catchlight and nailed that eye and the clean white on those warm tones is very pleasing to my eyes.
Wing flair on #2 is beautiful and you probably have a bit more room to brighten the whites on that one?

Thank you Karl,
#2 is a tricky one and I knew that it is mostly darker than I like to make my whites. Look at the base of the neck and there is a bright area that is just about blown out. If I brighter the entire image that are blows out and takes some other areas with it. When I lifted the rest and leave that area at peak, then I louse feather detail so I compromised with this slightly gray presentation.
