While we were in Oregon last month we looked all over for bald eagles. We stopped at several places where they were reported to frequent. Unfortunately, they were pretty elusive. One morning we hiked three miles through a wildlife sanctuary and didn't see any. We did see this cute little squirrel and lots of damp spiderwebs glistening in the sun though.
Besides the super sharp image of the squirrel, I love all of the little details in this image. The pine cone and needles, the moss, the spider webs.
That afternoon we stopped at a pull out along the road and a bald eagle flew right over our heads. We watched it for about an hour but it never flew that close to us again.

I love the natural framing for the squirrel photo and the web is real nice. For the eagle the sun is backlight so you need to expose for the subject and this may result in the sky blowing out. When this happens you can address the sky by pulling down the blue lumance or do sky replacement.
