p.1 #1 · Hawk, Chipmunk and the Butterfly- The Wonders of Nature- Edited with Sounds
The entire leaf filled forest floor seemed alive with the sounds of the chipmunks low pitch chuck. I knew something was causing this danger call. Sure enough the hawk flew to a branch . What sounds to hear and beautiful bird to see. The hawk sat and watched for many minutes as the alarm sounds filled the air. This hunt was unsuccessful as it flew off without a meal this time.
Then, I saw this lovely butterfly . Such a pleasant surprise in mid November. It was a blessed morning.
I hope you enjoy and thank you for looking.

Birdie, it certainly pays to stop and listen as that often leads to seeing what you hear. A lot of wildlife is also staying still and listening to you. Often you have to out-wait them.
In the country our horses would always be the first to hear approaching deer, moose, and bears. We only had to watch their ears. Our German Shepherd would be next to hear them. Not sure if it was us or our cats that heard them last.
