Sugarloaf Mountain lies on the border of 2 Maryland Counties. It was originally a "Stronghold" in the Civil War for both armies.
You can walk to the top and the view is overwhelming especially in the Fall. On a clear day, you can see the States of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Beautiful Dan!
The sun was directly behind me and rising. You can see the "line of demarcation from the sun" on the mountain side.
Thanks Jim!

Thanks for the reminder to go visit again. I’m usually on my motorcycle in those parts and they aren’t permitted on the mountain.
"Back in the day, motocycles WERE allowed."
Head up there..great photos...
