I like the blacked out Leica logo as well (from the SL2-S). It's easy to paint your SL2 though. In the case of the SL3 Reporter, I guess the black is already the best choice.

Wonder if green harkens back to the military sales in any way?

I've always liked the green M's and loved the looks of the old R3 Safari with matching green lenses. Last year I passed up the opportunity to buy whole R3 Safari kit with 28, 50, 90, and 180 in green... I'm still kicking myself for overthinking it.

I like the Reporter models for everything but the kevlar. It seems that it is not as tough as it should be and suffers from tares.
