For the size, pretty amazing. Low weight with a Z50ii. Would probably be the only travel set up you could ever need. I used it on a family session already today, nothing too distracting in the backgrounds. I was worried about the fall off, but really impressed.

What did impress you? Sharpness, low-weight, close focus capability?
I played with one at the Nikon booth at the local camera show. They locked the lenses to the demo cameras which was a Z30 so I can't really try the weight and focusing speed since Z30 have Expeed 6 instead of 7.
I am still interested in a detailed review with proper lab testing before purchase.
Is there a way to share a few images without the upload option? I'm happy to share some images from the lens. I am not a 'lens tester' or professional in lens diagnostics.... but I do work as a photographer in the midwest

You should be able to add Flickr or Google photos links.
Such a sweet lens, I wish Nikon comes with an APSC camera similar to R7 or a bit better. I would replace my FF for it, and that lens would definitely be in my new system.
It doesn't have to be stacked sensor like X-H2s, just more MP, let's say 32, EVF with 120Hz refresh, IBIS, and probably some other things, but, those are my top 3 wishes on it.

Yes, very important one, I forgot, thanks for bringing it up 😐
I found this review of the lens (the video shows that the lens is Made in China): https://fstoppers.com/reviews/nikons-new-16-50mm-f28-dx-workhorse-youve-been-waiting-716816

It's not the zoom lens with the best value for money ... for sure, the price-to-weigth ratio is very high
Very good center performance, but rather stiff zoom ring (the plasticky built is the price to pay for low weight), suboptimal sharpness at the corners even stopped down, flare (I expected better performance considering the number of elements/groups), vignetting and distortion. While the last two can be solved by software, buyers should be aware of other issues.
