The November supermoon rising above the Gore Range, captured from the high country near Eagle, Colorado. Warm alpenglow still lingered on the ridge as twilight settled in, revealing the crisp clarity of a clear cool autumn evening.

My immediate reaction after this picture rendered was "Oh wow"! In other words spectacular image. Not sure yet how I feel about the tree on the right frame but doesn't really matter I guess. Well done!

Thanks Derrick, I appreciate it! As to the branches, that was actually intentional. I was on a high mountain ridge and I thought it was kind of two dimensional just photographing the distant mountains. I thought it added another layer of composition. Here's another version I took a few moments later without the foreground tree, let me know if you like this one better?

I'm a sucker for some foreground vegetation when it doesn't interfere with the star of the show. Beautiful capture either way but the first is more interesting.

Thank you for your kind words! Glad I captured it both ways to have options. Light was fading fast, so these were all handheld moving along the ridge quickly framing up what looked interesting. Appreciate the feedback!
Very kind of you to say Jung, thank you! I'm going back out tonight to see if I can get another one coming over the peaks right when there is alpenglow on them - and with a much longer lens, fingers crossed, conditions look good!
Thanks for posting the variation Al. Having now seen the version without the trees, I must say I like them both. I like the moon being balanced by that slash of light but I also like the creativity of including the out of focus trees and the added dimensionality. Time to print them both and live with them for a bit!

Great t hear your feedback Derrick, thanks! I went back again yesterday to the same location and got a few new ones that I like that have a totally different feel. I'll post a couple later once I have a chance to look through them.
