Diving birds must always be on the alert for Bald Eagles swooping down on them. A clever and experienced pair of Bald Eagles will work together at this. The first one will swoop down, forcing the bird to dive, while the second eagle is ready to swoop down and nab the bird when it surfaces. The longer the bird can stay under the water and travel further under the water the less chance it has of getting caught by the second eagle.
A poor shot of a barred owl, but it shows how well the 'bird eye AF' found and locked on to the owl's eye, considering the owl was in full shade and all the branches in the way. A 50% crop.
