I found this impressive falls difficult to shoot on this windy and rainy day. I could only shoot away from the wind or my lens was instantly covered with drops of both rain and spray.
Difficult conditions separate the average photographer from the ones who excel. It's pretty clear from this shot where you are on that scale. Very impressive work!!

This was also our introduction to crowds at the popular spots. Including some tiny human figures like I did here can give scale, but too many ruins the "feel" of a landscape image. Of course I'm aware that I'm part of the crowd! Back home I've already shot most of the easy access spots like this, so I work hard to get out to less frequented places, which usually involves hiking or skiing. I would love to spend more time in Iceland to explore those areas, but on this 3 week whirlwind trip we mostly hit the "hot "spots.
