p.1 #1 · A visit in the beautiful Speulderbos (Netherlands)
Recently I managed to visit Speulderbos in Holland, a really special forest from which for instance Albert Dros gets many of his great photos.
The weather unfortunately wasn't very cooperative - no fog, no nice morning light, just dark and overcast -, and fall colors hadn't arrived yet although it was mid-October.
When I shot image #1 and #3, it was VERY dark there, so I decided to use my recently acquired Viltrox 85mm f1.4 Pro and shoot wide open - I found that the shallow depth of field added threedimensionality and "mysteriousness" in a really nice way.
Image #4: At one spot in the midst of the forest there is a plantation of Thuja Plicata trees which is totally out of character with the rest of the area, but looks interesting nevertheless.

Thank you very much for your warm words.
Unfortunately I was hindered by circumstances to go out on photo trips as planned in the last few months. The icing on the cake was that I broke both my arms by a bicycle accident 3 weeks ago. Now I can't go out with the camera for at least 2 months...

Oh man! That sounds bad. Hope you heal up well and quickly.
