Just leaning against a pole, for anyone to take.

NYC residents have a way of just putting stuff out on the sidewalk that they no longer want hoping someone will find a use for it, Dan. I didn't follow up but I'm sure someone grabbed it.

I agree! It is in excellent condition THEN..now.....overnight? A "fire hydrant for a "2 legged dog". And no disrespect to the 4 legged child!

It is no different here in the "sticks" Steve..however we ARE llimited on "when" we can do it!

Officially, "stooping". It's even become somewhat organized.. .https://www.instagram.com/stoopingnyc/

Some neighborhoods are better for stooping than others. When we lived in SoHo.... My gf and I, last dog walk of Tuesday nights, strolling with big pour of wine in a to-go cup.

When we moved out, unwanted furniture disappeared before I could bring the next down. One of the conveniences of living in the city. 😂
