NYC residents have a way of just putting stuff out on the sidewalk that they no longer want hoping someone will find a use for it, Dan. I didn't follow up but I'm sure someone grabbed it.

I agree! It is in excellent condition THEN..now.....overnight? A "fire hydrant for a "2 legged dog". And no disrespect to the 4 legged child!
It is no different here in the "sticks" Steve..however we ARE llimited on "when" we can do it!

Some neighborhoods are better for stooping than others. When we lived in SoHo.... My gf and I, last dog walk of Tuesday nights, strolling with big pour of wine in a to-go cup.
When we moved out, unwanted furniture disappeared before I could bring the next down. One of the conveniences of living in the city. 😂
