First time taking a ferry ride, Seattle to Bainbridge and back. The return ride was full of Mariners fans heading to the game, was such a fun atmosphere and so unlike anything down here in the south. I enjoyed the people watching as much as the hot pretzel
A few very nice images in this set. Been on that ferry, on that route a couple times, and it can be a fun ride. I don't suggest it when it is 40 degrees out, or at least not on the deck shooting, because it gets cold, really fast.
Fun ride for sure, all the ferries.
Nice pictures as well.
Love the last shot with the wheel and the needle in it.
Was just up to Whidbey Island not too long ago, was a beautiful trip.
That's are mass transit here but in summer Ferry line waits on Friday's and weekends can be 2 hours and longer especially the Edmonds to Kingston Ferry

Wow! We did try to go "against" traffic (leaving the city in the morning, coming into Seattle in the evening), but 2 hours...that would drive me nuts!

I would have liked to have checked out Whidbey, but the itinerary was packed. Luckily the whole region is gorgeous!

I can certainly imagine how un-fun a winter ride on the deck could be!

Looks like a fun time filled with a lot of good photo opportunities! That self portrait reflection shot has a nice Vivian Maier quality about it!
I have "her" latest book but have not "cracked" a page yet! Winter is coming along so......

Thanks Dan, and yes, I’m the quintessential tourist fawning over public transport
"Mass transportation" a sore spot for me Scott.
The infrastructure is already "in place" around here. The "powers to be" just can't seem to compromise on WHO will get the contract to "move" those people.
I live in the "boonies" yet access is here, it is just the shortsidedness of "people", and engineers, who will not intervene.
We have(USA) not come close to how the European's handle the "movement" of people!

I loved the VM documentary, I won't lie, this pic was definitely Vivian-coded
