I've got an 18x24 of this shot hanging in my office and it looks great. Every time I get the urge to push the "add to cart" button on another $2000-$3000 I look at this shot and I think; will I really see enough of a difference to justify the expense ? And more importantly, is it necessary ?

You were one of the reasons that I bought into the m4/3 system along with Ronny. When I was doing my research and had my worries about sensor size and low light performance, all I had to do was look at posts from either of you for reassurance that the system could do what I aspire to.
I say aspire as I am a long way from getting shots as good as either of you. Do I like the idea of the 150-400? Of course I do but even if I had the cash I wouldn't buy it as you have shown me how capable the 100-400 is and until I can post shots as good as you are currently doing, that lens would be wasted on me.
When I browse the forums, yours and Ronny's posts are always the first I look for. Nature is amazing, I am glad we have people on here who have the skill and patience to show us that..

Well, I'm not sure how to even respond to this as it was Ronny's work that convinced me to take a shot at M4/3 I'm 71 yrs old and on the downside of all this. I guess I've just come to the realization that there are so many factors besides ultimate IQ that contribute to an enjoyable photo. And the need to lug around all that large and heavy equipment was just not appealing for me anymore. But that's just me. This is all simply a hobby for me and I totally understand why others feel differently. I really, really appreciate your kind words and hope you're enjoying the system.
