These popped up over night with the high humidity, wet yet mild temps.

Exquisite That is a big word for me.

I remember watching 'Fungi, the rotten world around us' but they failed to show these species.

You are lucky, Dan'l, I went out to the woods and found absolutely no fungi, another causality of our drought.

Thanks Frank!
Suddenly these were just there!
I LOVE mushrooms to eat and photograph but dare NOT try these.
I have a blue mushroom somewhere in my files. Now that was indeed unique!
Thanks Frank!

These were in my back yard Douglas. We had the worst summer on record here in Maryland with the heat and humidity and no rain.
I have to go to far Western Maryland to get any real color.
If you DO find some fungi in the woods....beware!

Now this one blew my mind Douglas and NO I was not eating this one!!! .
It turns from a very soft blue to a dark blue with brilliant white edges. Looks more like a "Chesapeake Bay sea nettle than a 'shroom.

My mother's Italian family grew up in Kennett Square, Pa-"The Mushroom Capital of the World" Frank.
Munchies on my grandmom's table was a bowl of marinated fresh mushrooms and some crusty fresh baked Italian bread and a bottle of homemade chianti..
