I attempted to shoot a time-lapse of the Milky Way in my yard last night and watched from inside my house on the Creator's App. I was shooting the A1 with the FE 16-35, F4. I started getting clouds steaming through the shots, so I ended it at 184 shots instead of the 300 planned. This was more of a knocking the rust off exercise for when the time change comes.
I tried the Skywatcher Star Adventurer for a while this year. I controlled it with the ASIair module. It seemed to work well though there’s a bit of a learning curve to it. It handled the weight of my a1 and 200-600 Sony G lens okay but I did replace the supplied mount with an aftermarket one that was a little more substantial.
I used Affinity Photo to stack the images though I struggled a little getting the flats right and I think that’s why my few images did not come out very well.
