I see what you mean. I am pretty sure the camera was fairly level, but the boat that we were shooting from was at an angle to the shoreline. Will see how I feel about it being level.

That would have meant not getting the shot. Shall we say that the flight was a wee bit outside of VLOS. We are in a public form so let's leave it at that. Every last bit of juice on the M3P was needed to get there, spend a few minutes shooting, and then head back. The few guys who had M4Ps had a lot more juice and did not have to live quite so dangerously.
I also was distracted by other "shiny objects" on the way to this peak and spent precious minutes and juice shooting them. Did not include them in my OP but they are on my website and below
Boyan,
When I grow up I want to take a trip with you..
I have always enjoyed your work, but you have really taken up a notch with these..
Great images, all of them. I also think the wide angle distortion works in this case.
Thanks for posting.
Those are some pretty nice shiny objects. Well worth the time you spent for them. In hindsight, you ended up managing the supposedly impossible feat of getting to have your cake and eat it too. Not sure if the drone is the cake in this analogy, or maybe it's the images...

That's some remarkable country. It has been over two decades since I last visited Alaska (a long story...), but #11 reminds me of my first view of the Canadian mountains as I flew up there — they seemed to extend to infinity.
Yes, the Juneau Icefield runs for around 100 miles. It is amazing to see up close from a helicopter. Alas I got very few memorable shots over 3+ hours of flying above it.
