As you can see every single photo has this flare(?) at the same spot. Initially I thought it was sun but that isn't the case. I don't know what it is and what could be causing this. This film roll was shot using M6+Summicron 50mm.
I don't think it is the lens as I don't see the same artifact in digital images taken with same lens.
Is this RF mechanism issue or something else. I am sad

Particularly in the second picture it has the clear geometric shape like a lens diaphragm. Is there a whole in the shutter?
You are right. That is the lens diaphragm. I zoomed in on few other photos.Shows more prominently and clearly in photos with dark background. I also see the outline of the lens barell as shown here https://imgur.com/a/mKmH6EX
Diaphragm leaves are clean and no holes.
Copy/paste link as is in browser vs clicking it, FM sucks at times !
I forgot this as well. If you scanned this on your own with a digital camera, then it could be reflection from overhead lights that are reflecting off the film and illuminating your scanning lens aperture. I had this happen once and it took be a while to figure it out.

Here's one of your images so everyone can clearly see it. All of your images have this light artifact in the exact same spot. You either have a hole in one of your shutter curtains. Or as another member posted, this is light source reflection - in this image you can see faint light circles around the main source.
If you see this artifact on your negatives - it is a hole in your shutter curtain. If you do not see it on the negatives, there is an issue with how the film is being scanned.
I suspect a camera being used to copy the film for digitization and light getting into the lens, not an actual proper scan. Somehow the word scan has been corrupted.
Hi All,
I don't have the negatives yet. Should have them next week. I had sent this film for processing so what you are seeing here is the digital copies from processing.
I read a bit about pinhole shutter curtain leak and I think it is that. I highly doubt it is due the way film was processed as the lab I sent it to is a good lab.
Currently have another roll in the camera. I should be done with that roll this weekend & then test the camera shutter for pinhole thing.

Thank you !
You need to check the actual negatives before you can determine anything.
