The Dusshera Festival takes place in the town of Dhalpur in Northern India. Over two hundred villages participate, by carrying effigies of their village Gods from nearby mountains to Dhalpur, where they unite in frenzied activity. The Running of the Gods is a fascinating look at Himalayan tradition, that is hundreds of years old.
In keeping with my experimental phase, I decided to turn my camera to the audience rather than the festival activities.
