I went back to take the same shots but of course a car went to park there. How about these?
Great job! Thank you for doing that test…twice! 🙂
They look really, really close to me when the 135mm is in crop mode. The 200 bokeh looks a teeny bit smoother, but not in a meaningful way. Both lenses would be so fun to have. I think I’d get the most use from the 135mm since I don’t shoot much sports and I already have the excellent 70-200GMII which is killer at 200mm. Thanks again for doing the tests.
I’ve had this lens since BH first started to ship them. I have to say the separation on the background makes it almost look like a green screen. I also own the Sony 50-150 F/2 GM and it’s a very distinct look which keeps up with my kid (use it for his baseball). They both have their use. I haven’t tested my son running at me as that’s what the 50-150 GM is for but will try to test that combined with my Sony A1 II.
Thanks Bastian, was trying to decide between the 200 f2 and 135 1.4 and will just get the 135 1.4 since s35 is identical look minus the res hit and I can do a spinorama for breziner faster
I've used this lens for two events now on an A1. I really love it. I will try and post some pictures soon when I get a chance. The images are creamy and super sharp. The autofocus is almost GM level fast and accurate.
Got my lens just before leaving on a cruise. Not normally a lens I’d take on a cruise, but couldn’t resist testing it out while cruising. It is surprisingly very compact and much lighter than my 105 F/1.4 (which I’m debating keeping or selling).
Noticed a good deal this morning, AU$2399 (US$1632) and that's with tax (mandatory in Aus)
